"Tax(es)" - means any and all direct and indirect taxes, duties, fees, levies, excises, rates, charges, imposts, surcharges, royalties and other mandatory payments imposed by any Authority of whatever nature and however called and whether paid to an Authority or to any other Person at its directive or pursuant to Applicable Laws, or similar to any of the foregoing.
